Job Overview
Gohlke Pools is seeking a dependable and motivated Fleet Maintenance Technician to help maintain our fleet of approximately 50 trucks and service vehicles. This position is responsible for performing preventative maintenance, routine inspections, and common mechanical repairs to keep our fleet operating safely and reliably while minimizing vehicle downtime.
The ideal candidate has experience servicing gasoline-powered pickup trucks and commercial vehicles, takes pride in quality workmanship, and can work independently while recognizing when specialized repairs should be referred to an outside repair facility.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Perform scheduled preventative maintenance, including oil and filter changes, fluid services, tire rotations, and cabin air filter replacement.
- Complete monthly vehicle safety and preventative maintenance inspections.
- Diagnose and repair routine mechanical issues within the scope of the position.
- Perform routine mechanical repairs, including brakes, suspension and steering components, cooling system repairs, spark plugs replacement, belts, hoses, batteries, starters, alternators, and other common maintenance-related items.
- Identify larger mechanical concerns and recommend repairs requiring specialty shops.
- Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records for all fleet vehicles.
- Monitor vehicle condition and communicate upcoming maintenance needs to management.
- Assist with maintaining shop equipment, and a clean, organized work environment.
Experience
- Experience performing preventative maintenance and repairs on a variety of gasoline-powered cars and trucks.
- Strong understanding of automotive systems, including brakes, steering, suspension, cooling systems, and basic electrical components.
- Ability to perform repairs independently using standard shop tools and service information.
- Valid Texas driver’s license with a clean driving record.
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work safely in a shop environment.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience working on Ford, Chevy/GMC, Toyota, and Nissan pickup trucks.
- ASE certifications are a plus but not required.

Pay: $26.00 – $31.00 per hour
