As the business expands, Solid Global is focused on building a skilled technical team to support product quality and customer satisfaction.
Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Electronic Technician role based in Dungalpitiya. The Electronic Technician will diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair electronic components and systems in electric bikes, including controllers, batteries, wiring, and related hardware. Responsibilities include performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and safety checks to ensure reliable performance of all units. The role involves carrying out soldering work and component-level repairs, maintaining accurate service records, and supporting the warehouse and showroom teams with technical checks on incoming and outgoing bikes. The Electronic Technician will also assist in testing new models, implementing quality control procedures, and providing basic technical guidance to colleagues and dealers when required.
Qualifications
- Strong foundation in electronics technology and electricity, with the ability to understand schematics and wiring diagrams.
- Proficiency in soldering and safe handling of electronic components and tools.
- Demonstrated troubleshooting skills for diagnosing faults in electronic systems and components.
- Experience with maintenance and repair of electrical or electronic equipment, ideally including batteries, controllers, or similar systems.
- Technical or vocational qualification in Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Mechatronics, or a related field is preferred.
- Ability to follow safety standards, work accurately with attention to detail, and maintain organized service documentation.
- Willingness to work on-site in Dungalpitiya, collaborate with cross-functional teams, and support occasional field visits if required.
- Prior experience in the automotive, electric bike, or similar industry is an advantage but not mandatory.
