Job Summary
The Service Engineer will be responsible for providing technical support, ensuring high-quality service delivery, and improving customer satisfaction for 2-wheelers. The role involves troubleshooting, training technicians, conducting service audits, and supporting dealerships with technical expertise.
Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot technical issues in 2-wheeler vehicles (ICE/Electric as applicable).
- Provide on-site and remote technical support to showroom and service centers.
- Conduct vehicle inspections, service audits, and warranty claim validations.
- Support new product launches through training and technical documentation.
- Train dealer technicians on maintenance, repair procedures, and updated service guidelines.
- Analyze field failures to identify root causes and propose corrective actions.
- Coordinate with R&D, Quality, and Production teams for field feedback and improvements.
- Ensure adherence to company service standards and customer handling protocols.
Qualifications & Skills
- Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Automobile Engineering (mandatory)
- Minimum 1+ years of experience in service engineering or technical support in the 2-wheeler automotive industry.
- Strong knowledge of 2-wheeler vehicle systems (engine, chassis, electrical, FI systems, ECU diagnostics).
- Expertise with diagnostic tools and service equipment.
- Understanding of warranty processes and service quality standards.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and service bulletins.
