Job Description

Silvus Technologies, a leading provider of advanced MANET and MIMO communications systems, is reshaping mesh network technology for mission‑critical applications—on the ground, in the air and  battle‑proven Stream Caster family of MANET radios and proprietary MN‑MIMO waveform provides the vital communications link for defense, law enforcement and public safety agencies around the world, and in the toughest operational environments.

The Senior Electronics Quality Technician‑I reports to the Quality Supervisor on the Operations – Quality Control team. The successful individual in this role will support Stream Caster MANET product development and manufacturing. This position is fully onsite, Monday through Friday, at Silvus Technologies’ HQ in the heart of vibrant West Los Angeles.

Role and Responsibilities

  • Basic manufacturing failure troubleshooting, understanding of electronic schematics, repair, and root cause analysis.
  • Initial diagnosis testing and basic repair of customer‑returned units (RMA).
  • Soldering and the use of common soldering equipment and standards.
  • Engineering/Research and Development electromechanical support: building custom cables, electronics assemblies, and test fixtures.
  • Production test station support: equipment maintenance, repair, and upgrade.
  • Perform other related duties of which the above are representative.

Required Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum 5–6 years of experience in an electronics work environment. An Associate or Bachelor’s degree with a combination of experience will also be considered.
  • Advanced experience in hand soldering SMT components.
  • General mechanical skills required – disassemble and reassemble mechanical sub‑assemblies to specifications.
  • Advanced knowledge of multimeters, oscilloscopes, signal generators, and spectrum analyzers.
  • General PC skills in a Windows environment.
  • Must be a U.S. Person (U.S. Citizen or U.S. Permanent Resident) due to clients under U.S. federal contracts.
  • All employment is contingent upon the successful clearance of a background check and drug test.

Preferred Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

  • Certified IPC Specialist (CIS) under IPC‑A‑610 or IPC‑J‑STD‑001.
  • Familiarity with RF and high‑speed digital circuit testing.
  • Experience with Linux‑based diagnostic tools.
  • Proven leadership and mentoring experience.
  • Comfortable in a fast‑paced, multi‑disciplinary production environment.

Working Conditions and

Physical Requirements

  • Occasional exposure to heat and cold.
  • Perform bending and reaching movements to place items on lower and higher shelves.
  • Kneeling or squatting to access lower shelves.
  • Must be able to lift up to 50 lbs. when receiving incoming part shipments.
  • Walking/Moving in the labs.

Compensation

$35.20 – $37.40 per hour. The pay range is NOT a guarantee; it is based on market research and peer data and will vary depending on the candidate’s experience and qualifications.
