Diesel Truck Mechanic Jobs in Marion, IA at Wholesale Repair Inc.
Responsibilities:
– Perform routine maintenance and repairs on diesel engines, including but not limited to tractor-trailers, industrial equipment, and other diesel-powered vehicles.
– Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical issues using diagnostic tools and equipment.
– Repair or replace faulty components, such as shocks, struts, and transmissions.
– Follow schematics and technical manuals to ensure proper repair procedures are followed.
– Conduct equipment inspections to identify potential issues and prevent breakdowns.
– Keep accurate records of repairs, maintenance tasks, and parts inventory.
– Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area.
Requirements:
– Proven experience as a Diesel Mechanic or similar role.
– Strong knowledge of diesel engine repair and maintenance.
– Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment.
– Ability to read and interpret schematics and technical manuals.
– Excellent problem-solving skills with the ability to diagnose mechanical issues accurately.
– Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
– Physical stamina to perform manual labor tasks such as lifting heavy objects and working in tight spaces.
– Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
