Role Description The Robotics Technician is a full-time role based in the Portland, Oregon Metropolitan Area. The role involves installing, configuring, and testing robotic systems. Day-to-day responsibilities include performing routine inspections, preventive maintenance, and repairs; diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, and software issues; and ensuring robots operate safely and efficiently. The technician will document work performed, maintain accurate service records, and collaborate with engineers, project managers, and customers to optimize system performance. The role also includes responding to service requests, assisting with upgrades and retrofits, and providing basic user training or support when needed.
Qualifications
- Must have a clean driving record.
- Must be able to clearly communicate technical topics to non-technical people
- While this is a technical position, formal technical training is not required. We will teach you if you are technically proficient. You are technically proficient if people come to you to fix their phone/computer/other electronic device.
Bonus Qualifications (skills you will acquire with us if you don't have them)
- Preventive Maintenance skills, including routine inspection, calibration, and servicing of robots and related equipment.
- Relevant technical education (e.g., associate degree, technical certificate, or equivalent experience) in robotics, mechatronics, industrial automation, or a related field.
- Ability to read technical equipment manuals, and to follow safety standards and procedures.
- Strong problem-solving, organization, and documentation skills, with the capacity to manage multiple tasks and priorities.
