How You’ll Contribute
- Support and maintain the plant-level Quality Management System (QMS) in a high-volume manufacturing environment.
- Lead and facilitate root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective and preventive actions (CAPA) to resolve quality issues and prevent recurrence.
- Own and execute core automotive/manufacturing quality tools, including PPAP, APQP, FMEA, control plans, and SPC.
- Manage supplier quality, including incoming inspection, nonconformance management, and supplier corrective actions.
- Support and participate in internal and external quality audits (customer, third-party, and certification bodies).
- Partner cross-functionally with manufacturing, operations, and engineering to drive continuous improvement projects.
- Contribute to and champion a strong safety culture and adherence to plant safety standards and procedures.
- Analyze quality data and metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities for improvement.
- Support new product introductions and process changes from a quality and compliance perspective.
What Makes You a Great Fit
- Hands-on manufacturing Quality Engineering experience in a plant environment (automotive, metals, plastics, food, industrial products, or similar).
- Practical experience with RCA, CAPA, PPAP, APQP, FMEA, SPC, and control plans.
- Working knowledge of ISO 9001 and/or IATF 16949 quality management standards.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and understand GD&T.
- Exposure to or formal training in Lean and/or Six Sigma methodologies.
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or related field preferred; equivalent, strong plant-floor experience will be considered.
- Strong problem-solving, data-driven decision-making, and documentation skills.
- Effective communication skills with the ability to work cross-functionally and with suppliers and customers.
- Willingness to work on-site in a manufacturing plant environment; relocation assistance may be available for select roles.
