Position Objective
The role mainly focuses on the three major planning functions, warehouse management, logistics planning, and packaging management. It is responsible for establishing and continuously optimizing an end-to-end collaborative mechanism covering demand–planning–materials–production–warehousing–shipment, so as to ensure delivery achievement for plastic exterior trim products, maintain reasonable inventory levels, control costs, ensure smooth logistics operations, and provide suitable packaging solutions, thereby supporting customer OTD and factory business targets.
Responsibilities:
1) The Three Major Planning Functions
1.1 Delivery Planning
Receive customer forecasts/orders, organize demand review and risk identification, and take the lead in formulating finished goods delivery plans and shipment rhythms.
Manage delivery exceptions such as material shortages, urgent orders, customer changes, quality holds, and transportation delays; drive issue closure and maintain delivery credibility with customers.
1.2 Master Production Planning
Establish and maintain an effective capacity model, formulate monthly/weekly/daily production plans and scheduling principles, and organize production planning review meetings to ensure plans are executable and updated in a timely manner.
Drive plan achievement and production line balancing through resource allocation, overtime/shift arrangements, subcontracting diversion, and bottleneck process improvement.
1.3 Material Planning
Establish material master data and parameters, and formulate procurement and inbound plans for raw materials, auxiliary materials, and packaging materials.
Track the delivery and quality status of key materials, drive abnormal issue handling, and promote inventory structure optimization.
2) Inventory Management
Coordinate warehouse layout and storage location planning to meet EHS and 5S requirements.
Establish standards for receiving, issuing, and storage operations, as well as mechanisms to ensure consistency between physical inventory and system records, while implementing FIFO management.
Control finished goods inventory accuracy and shipment readiness, and promote optimization of material distribution methods.
3) Logistics Planning and Shipment Management
Be responsible for in-plant logistics planning, including route planning, forklift/tugger/AGV configuration, and turnover container management, in order to improve handling efficiency and safety.
Be responsible for outbound logistics planning, including transportation mode selection, carrier management, transportation cost calculation, and continuous cost reduction. Guide shipment operations and customer coordination, and establish logistics KPIs and contingency plans.
4) Packaging Management
Organize the development and maintenance of packaging standards to ensure product protection meets customer requirements.
Be responsible for packaging material demand planning and inventory control to reduce the risk of shipment stoppage caused by packaging material shortages.
Lead packaging improvement and cost reduction initiatives, such as converting from one-way packaging to returnable solutions, standardizing turnover boxes, improving loading rates, lightweighting, and adopting recyclable materials.
Qualifications
1) Education and Major:
College diploma or above, with preference for majors in Logistics Management, Industrial Engineering, Supply Chain, Mechanical Engineering, Materials, Mold-related fields, or other related disciplines.
2) Experience Requirements:
More than 8 years of experience in planning, logistics, or warehousing in the manufacturing industry, preferably in the automotive parts industry; familiarity with plastic exterior trim processes is preferred. Experience in JIT/JIS, VMI, Kanban pull systems, and supermarket delivery projects is a plus.
3) Professional Skills:
Proficient in ERP/MRP systems and Excel; familiar with BOM, lead time, capacity calculation, scheduling logic, inventory control, and batch traceability. Understand delivery/traceability requirements related to IATF 16949 and basic quality hold/isolation processes.
4) Language Requirements:
Able to use English as a working language; Thai language skills are preferred.
