One of the global leaders within the food & beverage industry is currently looking for a Multi-site Plant Director to join their growing team. This business has gone from strength to strength in recent years, there has been a focus on large scale capital investment along with a number of high profile mergers and acquisitions.
This is a brand new role that has been created out of growth as the business looks to continue their impressive growth within the US.
This is an onsite role in the New England area, there is a generous relocation package to help fund a move.
Key Responsibilities:
- Working with the VP of Manufacturing and Plant Managers to set strategic goals and long term objectives for plants nationwide.
- Achieve the plant targets to ensure that the business is surpassing the customer needs and industry standards for safety, cost, speed, quality and product availability.
- Oversee a multi million dollar budget, ensuring that you don’t exceed that budget on an annual basis.
- Focus on employee retention at a plant level, working with Plant Managers and Plant HR teams to foster a positive working culture.
- Line management of Plant Managers, Associate Director of Manufacturing and EHS teams.
- Internal stakeholder management of Sales, Marketing and Supply Chain teams, ensuring these divisions are kept up to date with production process to ensure customer needs are met.
- Travel up to 50% of the time monthly.
The ideal candidate would be/have:
- Experienced in the food and beverage industry.
- Have a track record as a successful Plant Director or Director of Manufacturing.
- Multi-site experience.
- Good understanding of OSHA, FDA, USDA certifications.
- Experience of managing large teams with multiple layers.
