Role Description

The Parts Advisor serves as a key link between EV Motors Limited, customers, and suppliers, ensuring the accurate identification, ordering, and delivery of automotive parts. This role requires strong knowledge of automotive parts and is responsible for providing exceptional parts support services.

Key Responsibilities

Parts Identification & Interpretation

  • Accurately identify vehicle parts using VIN numbers, part numbers, and manufacturer catalogs. 
  • Assist service advisors and technicians in determining correct parts for repair orders.
  • Utilize inventory software and online resources to locate and verify parts availability.

Customer Communication

  • Maintain regular communication with all customers to ensure efficient and quick resolution to inquiries and concerns.
  • Ensure timely delivery and transfer of parts for internal repair orders.

Inventory & Documentation

  • Assist in maintaining accurate inventory levels and documentation in the parts system.
  • Ensure all parts transactions are properly recorded, including returns and warranty claims.
  • Screen and address unavailable parts issues to the Service Department for re-ordering/restocking.
  • Support regular inventory audits and reconciliation processes.

Parts Selling & Marketing

  • Provide parts selling support (i.e. prices, correct parts numbers, parts ETA, freight charges, etc.) through answering & responding diligently to all customers’ parts inquiries.
  • Prepare and coordinate parts sales quotations and bill invoices to all customers.
  • Verify affordability of existing parts pricing method against other competitors. 
  • Report any discrepancies to the Parts Manager.

Compliance & Safety

  • Adhere to EV Motors policies, safety standards, and manufacturer requirements.
  • Follow proper procedures for handling hazardous materials or restricted automotive parts
  • Maintain compliance with internal controls and manufacturer guidelines for parts ordering and handling.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • Minimum 1-2 years’ experience in automotive parts or inventory management.
  • Strong knowledge of automotive parts, components, and systems.
  • Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record.
  • Proficiency with dealership parts management software preferred.
  • Certification in parts operations or automotive technology is an asset.
