Role Description This is a full-time, on-site MOTOR MECHANIC (AUTOMOTIVE TECHNICIAN) role based in Georgetown. The technician will perform routine vehicle maintenance, inspection, and diagnostics on Yamaha motorcycles and related motor vehicles, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Daily tasks include identifying mechanical and electrical issues, carrying out repairs and component replacements, and testing vehicles, including steering and braking systems, after service. The role involves maintaining accurate service records, keeping the workshop tools and equipment in good condition, and following manufacturer guidelines and company procedures. The technician will also interact with customers to explain findings, recommend necessary repairs, and provide clear, courteous service updates.
Qualifications
- Strong technical ability in Vehicle Maintenance and general Motor Vehicle systems, including diagnosis, servicing, and basic electrical troubleshooting.
- Hands-on experience in Maintenance & Repair of motorcycles or similar vehicles, with a focus on safety, efficiency, and quality workmanship.
- Knowledge of Steering and related control systems, with the ability to inspect, adjust, and repair to manufacturer specifications.
- Customer Service skills to communicate clearly with customers, explain technical issues in simple terms, and support a positive service experience.
- Relevant certificate, diploma, or vocational training in automotive/motorcycle technology or a related field; Yamaha or OEM-specific training is an advantage.
- Ability to use basic diagnostic tools and workshop equipment, follow service manuals, and adhere to health and safety standards.
- Prior experience as a motorcycle technician or motor mechanic is preferred; entry-level candidates with strong technical aptitude may also be considered.
- Reliability, attention to detail, willingness to learn new technologies, and ability to work both independently and as part of a workshop team.

Key Responsibilities
- Diagnose, service, and repair vehicles (engine, transmission, braking, and electrical systems)

Requirements
- Minimum 1–3 years of working experience in automotive repair (preferred)

- Responsible, disciplined, and able to work independently
