We are currently retained by a rapidly growing international freight forwarding company to identify a VP / Director of Sales to lead its U.S. commercial expansion.

Our client operates a strong global logistics platform across North America and Asia, providing integrated solutions in Ocean Freight, Air Freight, and LCL consolidation. The company serves a diverse client base across renewable energy, traditional energy, pharmaceuticals, med-tech, automotive, manufacturing, and project logistics.

This senior leadership role will report directly to the Global President and lead the company’s U.S. revenue growth, market expansion, and national sales organization.

The company is planning to establish a Chicago office in 2026–2027 as part of its U.S. expansion strategy, and Chicago-based candidates are strongly preferred.

The Opportunity

This role is ideal for a high-performing freight forwarding sales leader who thrives on building markets, developing high-value client relationships, and scaling revenue.

You will play a key role in:

• Leading national sales strategy and revenue growth across the U.S.

• Expanding international trade lanes including Ocean Freight, Air Freight, and LCL services

• Developing new business and strategic enterprise accounts

• Building and mentoring multi-regional sales teams

• Driving market entry and expansion into new industry verticals

• Strengthening relationships with multinational customers and high-value accounts

• Partnering with executive leadership to achieve aggressive growth targets

Ideal Candidate

We are seeking a commercially driven sales executive with strong industry relationships and a proven ability to grow freight forwarding businesses.

Successful candidates will typically bring:

5+ years of sales leadership experience in freight forwarding / global logistics

• A strong track record of winning new business and driving revenue growth

• Experience leading 10–20+ sales professionals across multiple markets

• Deep knowledge of international logistics solutions (Ocean / Air / LCL)

• A well-established industry network and client relationships

• Experience managing large enterprise or multinational clients

• Industry exposure across sectors such as

energy, pharma & med-tech, automotive, manufacturing, and project cargo

• A results-driven mindset with the ability to build markets and scale teams

Global exposure across North America, APAC, Europe, and Latin America is highly valued.
