Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanic role based in Braybrook, VIC. The Mechanic will perform routine vehicle inspections, diagnostics, and repairs on a variety of makes and models, ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. Day-to-day tasks include conducting scheduled and preventive maintenance, identifying mechanical and electrical issues, performing repairs on engines, brakes, suspension, and other systems, and testing vehicles after service. The role also involves documenting work performed, communicating clearly with the service team about required repairs and timelines, maintaining workshop cleanliness and tool organization, and following all health and safety procedures. The Mechanic will collaborate with colleagues to manage workload efficiently and support a positive, customer-focused environment.

Qualifications

  • Strong skills in Maintenance, Preventive Maintenance, and Maintenance & Repair for a variety of vehicles
  • Experience working with different range of vehicles and understanding of relevant safety standards
  • Proficient Troubleshooting abilities for mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues
  • Relevant trade qualification or certification as an Automotive Mechanic or Technician
  • Ability to read and interpret technical manuals, service bulletins, and diagnostic reports
  • Solid understanding of automotive tools, diagnostic equipment, and workshop safety practices
  • Effective communication skills and the ability to work well in a team-oriented workshop
  • Valid driver’s license; experience in a busy automotive service environment is highly desirable
