SUMMARY:

POSITION INFO:

We are looking for a Master Vehicle Technician with a vehicle dealership in Cape Town.

Duties:

Conduct advanced fault diagnosis and work preparation on Volkswagen vehicles.
Perform complex mechanical and electrical repairs according to Volkswagen standards.
Carry out servicing, repairs, and maintenance on all VW models.
Conduct final inspections and functional tests to ensure vehicles meet OEM standards.
Interpret diagnostic data using ODIS and other OEM systems.
Assist and support technicians with complex technical issues and troubleshooting.
Prepare detailed reports for vehicle hand-over and customer explanations.
Ensure all work meets Volkswagen Standards of Excellence and dealership quality benchmarks.
Maintain a high level of workshop efficiency, safety, and cleanliness.
Stay updated with Volkswagen technical bulletins, campaigns, and training.

Requirements:

Qualified Motor Mechanic with Trade Test (Red Seal).
Volkswagen Master Technician Certification (or equivalent OEM Master level).
Minimum 5 – 7 years’ experience as a qualified technician.
2 – 3 years’ experience at Diagnostic / Senior Technician level within a dealership.
Strong experience working with Volkswagen / Audi brand systems.
Advanced fault-finding and diagnostic skills (mechanical & electrical).
Experience working with ODIS diagnostic equipment.
Valid SA Driver’s License (unendorsed).
Clear criminal record.
Computer literate.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Excellent attention to detail and time management.
Customer-focused with strong communication skills.
Solid track record with contactable references.
