Job Summary
The Junior Service Engineer – Automobile is responsible for assisting in the management and supervision of vehicle servicing activities, ensuring service quality standards are maintained, and coordinating service operations through proper job card management. The role involves supporting technicians, monitoring service progress, and ensuring customer vehicles are serviced efficiently and effectively.
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee day-to-day vehicle servicing activities within the workshop.
- Prepare, review, and manage service job cards accurately.
- Monitor vehicle repair and maintenance work to ensure quality standards are met.
- Coordinate with technicians and service staff regarding assigned tasks.
- Conduct preliminary inspections and assist in diagnosing vehicle issues.
- Ensure timely completion of service and maintenance jobs.
- Maintain service records and documentation.
- Assist in communicating service updates and recommendations to customers.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, safety procedures, and workshop standards.
- Support the Service Manager in achieving departmental targets and customer satisfaction goals.
Qualifications
- Diploma in Automobile Engineering with a minimum of 1 years of experience as an Automobile Technician or Bachelor's Degree in Automobile Engineering.
- Basic understanding of automotive systems, vehicle maintenance, and repair procedures.
- Knowledge of service workshop operations and job card processes.
