The Fleet Sales Manager is a high‑performing individual contributor responsible for generating and managing fleet vehicle sales for commercial, municipal, and independent business customers within an OEM dealership environment. This role focuses on prospecting, developing, and maintaining fleet accounts while delivering customized vehicle solutions that meet customer operational needs. The Fleet Sales Manager serves as a trusted advisor and primary point of contact throughout the sales and ownership lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
- Prospect, develop, and manage new and existing fleet and commercial customer accounts.
- Identify customer needs and recommend appropriate OEM fleet vehicles, configurations, and upfit solutions.
- Drive fleet sales volume, revenue, and gross profit by executing a consultative, relationship‑based sales approach.
- Serve as the primary contact for fleet customers, managing the full sales process from lead generation through delivery.
- Structure and present competitive pricing in alignment with OEM fleet programs and dealership guidelines.
- Manage factory orders, inventory sourcing, and delivery timelines to meet customer requirements.
- Maintain accurate customer, pricing, and deal records within the dealership CRM system.
- Collaborate with internal departments including finance, service, parts, and upfitting to deliver complete fleet solutions.
- Stay current on OEM fleet incentives, compliance requirements, and market trends impacting commercial sales.
- All other duties as assigned by leadership.
Qualifications
- 3–5+ years of experience in automotive fleet sales, commercial vehicle sales, or B2B sales (dealership or OEM experience preferred).
- Proven ability to prospect, close, and manage long‑term commercial customer relationships independently.
- Strong understanding of fleet sales processes, OEM programs, and commercial customer needs.
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with CRM systems and dealership sales tools.
- Valid driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
