Entry Level Field Service Technician
Overnight Travel and Overtime Required

GSE America supports commercial and corporate aviation industries through repair and restoration of equipment used on airport property known as Ground Support Equipment. GSE America is seeking several experienced Field Service Technicians to support various positions and expedited services. Most of our equipment is serviced in our facility, however many customers rely on us to deliver mobile service before they can securely take off or land. As integral members of the GSE America team, Field Service Technicians interact with and support our aviation customers throughout the world. This is a unique, challenging, and rewarding position working as part of a skilled and diverse team in a dynamic, fast-paced, and supportive environment.
Key Job Duties:
Field Service Technicians will support GSE America operations bydemonstrating an eagerness to learn about new products, manufacturing partners, and the aviation business industry. Tasks may include:
- Routine inspections and maintenance
- System diagnostics
- Electrical diagnostics
- Hydraulic hose replacement
- Hydraulic filter replacement
- Seal and gasket replacement
- Engine replacement or repair
- Compressor replacement or repair
- Generator replacement or repair
- Transmission replacement or repair
- Differential replacement or repair
- Basic 3 phase AC motor and panel replacement, no armature work
Qualifications:
- US citizenship
- Organization and cleanliness
- Proficiency in computer applications and internet navigation
- Professional speech and presentation
- Diligent time management skills
- Streamlined management of list and reminders
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- 5 year in-depth hydraulic and/or mechanical experience
- Valid driver’s license, clean driving record
- Experience with medium-duty truck and trailer is preferred
- A bachelor’s degree is strongly preferred, and a high school diploma or equivalent is required.
Aviation experience is not required. On the job training related to this specific industry is available to every employee. We love to teach, and we really enjoy working around others who are passionate to learn!
