Computer Aided Design Engineer

Due to continued growth and an expanding order book, Car & Commercial Solutions Ltd is looking to recruit an additional CAD Designer to join our growing team.

This is an exciting opportunity to become part of a fast-paced business specialising in bespoke vehicle conversions, commercial vehicle body builds, and in-house manufactured products.

Working closely with production, management, and customers, you will play a key role in turning concepts and requirements into practical, manufacturable designs.

The Role

Your responsibilities will include:

• Producing detailed CAD drawings for vehicle conversions, racking systems, storage solutions, and bespoke products

• Developing designs from customer requirements and project specifications

• Creating manufacturing drawings for production teams

• Supporting continuous product development and improvement

• Working closely with fabrication, assembly, electrical, and production departments

• Assisting with the development of standardised products and systems

• Ensuring designs are practical, efficient, and suitable for manufacture

What We’re Looking For

• Experience using CAD software is essential

• Strong attention to detail

• Practical understanding of manufacturing and fabrication processes preferred

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Good communication and organisational skills

• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines

Experience within automotive, vehicle conversions, fabrication, sheet metal, racking systems, or manufacturing environments would be advantageous but is not essential for the right candidate.
