Duties
- Perform comprehensive diagnostics using automotive diagnostic tools to identify issues across various vehicle systems.
- Repair and maintain engines, including diesel and gasoline powertrains, ensuring they meet manufacturer specifications.
- Interpret automotive wiring diagrams and schematics to troubleshoot electrical and electronic systems effectively.
- Conduct wheel alignments, ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations, and vehicle system inspections to ensure safety and performance standards are met.
- Utilize hand tools, power tools, welding equipment, and heavy lifting techniques to execute mechanical repairs and bodywork when necessary.
- Follow detailed maintenance schedules for vehicle upkeep, including oil changes, brake repairs, suspension work, and engine overhauls.
- Maintain accurate records of all repairs performed, parts used, and diagnostic procedures carried out in compliance with dealership standards.
Experience
- Proven dealership experience or extensive background in automotive repair is highly preferred.
- Strong mechanical knowledge of automotive engine systems, electrical systems, and vehicle wiring diagrams.
- Hands-on experience with automotive diagnostics tools and software for troubleshooting complex issues.
- Skilled in diesel engine repair, engine overhaul procedures, and powertrain servicing.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration, alignment procedures, and heavy lifting techniques required for vehicle maintenance.
- Knowledge of automotive electrical systems, auto body repair techniques including welding, and the use of manual handling safety practices.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients.
