The Service Publications Engineer is responsible for managing and coordinating the publication of vehicle service information, including service checksheets, wiring diagrams, and rescue cards. The role works closely with engineering, product development, and customer service teams to ensure accurate and efficient repair information is available to workshops. The ideal candidate has an engineering background, hands-on vehicle diagnostic and repair experience, strong English communication skills, and enjoys working in a collaborative, technical environment.
- Coordinating the publication of vehicle service checksheets and wiring diagrams.
- Creation of vehicle rescue cards.
- Calculation of service labor times for service checksheets.
- Coordinating and reviewing service checksheet, wiring diagram and rescue card related complaints.
- Support feasibility studies of repair instructions and reconciliation of repair processes in order to improve repair efficiency.
- Link between the EU team and other departments within Ford, such as UCS
(Upstream Customer Service), Product Development, PVT (Plant Vehicle Team), and RPP (Repair Product Planning).
- Planning of workshop resources.
- Plan and release financial resources for suppliers for service information for development of literature and translations, as well as control of costs and services within the framework of the contract terms and monitoring of the existing budget.
- Completed bachelor's or master's degree in mechanical / electrical engineering, mechatronics, mechatronic systems or equivalent education
- Business fluent English skills
- Proficient in the use of common MS-Office applications
- Experience in repairing and diagnosing vehicles is vital
- Knowledge on XML authoring is an advantage
- Experience with Teamcenter, Photoshop and Illustrator is desirable
- Programming experience is preferred
- Experience with authoring content management systems is an advantage
- Likes to work in a team and shows strong communication skills
