Description:
Workshop Operations
- Manage the full repair process from vehicle assessment through to final delivery.
- Assess vehicle damages and prepare accurate repair quotations.
- Identify and report additional damages on authorised vehicles.
- Monitor repair progress to ensure jobs are completed efficiently and within agreed timelines.
- Ensure adherence to OEM repair standards and manufacturer specifications.
- Maintain workshop facilities, equipment, and health and safety standards.
Insurance & Client Liaison
- Liaise with clients, assessors, and insurance companies throughout the repair process.
- Manage insurance claims procedures and ensure compliance with insurer requirements.
- Provide regular progress updates to customers and insurance companies.
- Handle customer complaints and resolve concerns professionally and effectively.
Parts & Materials Management
- Oversee the ordering of OEM, alternative, and green parts.
- Conduct pricing checks and monitor parts availability.
- Manage communication regarding back-ordered parts and delays.
- Control paint, consumables, and workshop inventory requirements
Requirements:
- Grade 12 (Matric).
- Proven experience as a Workshop Manager or similar leadership role within a panel beating environment.
- Strong knowledge of panel shop operations and repair processes.
- Thorough understanding of insurance claims procedures and assessor requirements.
- Experience managing OEM repair standards, including Premium brand manufacturers.
- Strong administrative, organisational, and problem-solving skills.
- Computer literacy, including job card systems, costing software, and reporting tools.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.
- Valid driver's licence.
