About the Role
We are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Warranty Specialist to join our team within a leading automotive distributor organisation based in Sydney. This role is responsible for supporting the day-to-day warranty operations, ensuring efficient claim processing, accurate adjudication, and high-quality support to our dealer network
.
This is an excellent opportunity for someone with solid hands-on experience in automotive warranty within a dealership or distributor environment who is looking to further develop their expertise in a professional and fast-paced setting.
Key Responsibilities
Warranty Claim Assessment
- Review, assess, and adjudicate warranty claims in accordance with manufacturer policies and guidelines
- Process and validate claims, ensuring accuracy, completeness, and compliance
- Identify discrepancies, errors, or potential goodwill considerations
Pre-authorisation Requests (PAR) Assessment
- Evaluate and approve or decline repair pre-authorisation requests within defined limits
- Ensure all requests are supported by proper documentation and technical justification
- Liaise with technical teams where necessary to support decision-making
Dealer Support & Communication
- Provide timely, professional, respectful and patient responses to dealer inquiries via email and phne
- Offer clear and constructive guidance on warranty policy, claim submission, and repair eligibility
- Interact with dealers in a service-orientated approach, considering customer satisfaction.
Policy Compliance & Reporting
- Ensure all warranty activities comply with manufacturer and distributor standards
- Assist in identifying trends, recurring issues, or training opportunities within the dealer network
- Support internal audits and reporting as required
About You
- Minimum 3 years’ experience in automotive warranty within a dealership or distributor environment with strong understanding of warranty processes, policies, and claim adjudication (essential)
- Strong understanding of automotive technology and diagnosis
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with dealer partners
- High attention to detail and strong analytical skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and manage workload in a fast-paced repetitive environment
Desirable Skills & Experience
- Experience using Pentana Systems (advantageous but not essential)
- Familiarity with OEM warranty systems and technical documentation
- Exposure to audit processes or compliance-driven environments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook,etc.)
