Job Description
We are looking for a location manager who can step in and make our distribution center their own. This person will be responsible for overseeing every aspect of our Tonawanda location, including, shipping, receiving, billing, dispatching, stocking, and inventory. This is a hands -on, work alongside your team type of job.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities for Location Manager:
- Gain a workable knowledge of front of house and back of house responsibilities
- Billing customer orders and resolving problems presented by CSR’s
- Understanding EOD cash out procedure/resolving issues
- Identifying and correcting issues with receiving via vendor ASNs
- Assist in prioritizing customers/runs to dispatch assets correctly
- Verify accuracy of inventory team and offer solutions to improve
- Oversee all departments, offer assistance, maintain established processes, offer continuous improvement ideas
- Foster and maintain a safe work environment
- Conduct floor walks to ensure employees are following protocol while operating safely and efficiently
- Train supervisors on best practices. Delegate and set expectations
- Monitor daily, weekly, and monthly employee productivity
- Coach or reprimand as needed to ensure quotas are met
- Maintain appropriate staffing through hiring and terminations, as needed
- Pick and pull parts as necessary to assist in exceeding daily business goals
Skills Needed for Location Manager:
- Superior communication skills
- Self-motivated
- Strong leadership skills
- Effective communication with the corporate team and warehouse staff alike
- Must work well under pressure
- Must be able to be on their feet all day, includes standing, walking, lifting, etc.
- Ability to multi-task
Full time hours- Minimum 50 hours per week.
