Job Summary

The Warehouse Manager is responsible for overseeing warehouse operations related to vehicle spare parts, consumables, and company assets within the fleet division. The role ensures operational efficiency, accuracy of inventory, compliance with safety and quality standards, and optimal utilization of warehouse resources to support fleet readiness and business continuity.

Key Responsibilities

Warehouse Operations Management

  • Manage day-to-day warehouse operations and ensure smooth workflow across all activities.
  • Supervise storage, classification, and organization of spare parts and materials according to approved standards.
  • Oversee receiving, storage, and dispatch processes in line with best practices.
  • Ensure warehouse cleanliness, safety, and compliance with company standards.

Inventory Control & Stock Management

  • Monitor inventory levels and ensure accuracy of stock records.
  • Conduct periodic and annual stock counts and reconcile discrepancies.
  • Track slow-moving and obsolete inventory and recommend corrective actions.
  • Maintain optimal stock levels and define reorder points.

Fleet & Asset Support

  • Support fleet operations by ensuring timely availability of spare parts and consumables.
  • Monitor utilization of materials and coordinate with relevant departments to ensure operational readiness.
  • Ensure proper handling and tracking of company assets stored in the warehouse.

Reporting & Analysis

  • Prepare periodic reports related to warehouse performance and inventory status.
  • Analyze inventory trends and operational performance indicators.
  • Provide insights to management to support decision-making.

Team Leadership & Development

  • Supervise warehouse staff including storekeepers and assistants.
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and ensure productivity targets are achieved.
  • Train and develop team members on warehouse procedures, safety standards, and operational best practices.

Compliance & Process Improvement

  • Ensure compliance with health, safety, and regulatory requirements.
  • Maintain adherence to company policies and quality standards.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency and reduce operational costs.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in warehouse management, preferably within automotive or fleet environments.
  • Strong knowledge of warehouse management systems (WMS) and ERP systems.
  • Proven leadership and team management capabilities.
  • Strong analytical, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent reporting and communication skills.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel.
  • Ability to work under pressure and manage priorities effectively.
  • Experience in transportation, logistics, or field operations is an advantage.
  • Ability to join immediately or within a short notice period.
