Role Summary
We’re looking for a Voice AI Intern to help build, test, and document AI agents. You’ll be hands-on with the development process setting up new agents, writing data-capture scripts, creating test scenarios, and documenting processes and learnings.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys problem solving, experimentation, and clear documentation. Many of the platforms we work with are evolving rapidly, so we don’t expect you to know every tool in our stack. Curiosity, attention to detail, and a willingness to learn are far more important.
What You’ll Do
- Build and configure AI agents (voice, SMS, and chat) using a range of conversational AI and orchestration platforms.
- Design and implement data-capture logic for each agent (e.g. what information needs to be collected during conversations).
- Create structured test cases and scenarios to validate agent behaviour, including happy paths, edge cases, and failure modes.
- Run tests, log outcomes, and identify bugs or inconsistencies with clear reproduction steps.
- Document processes and playbooks for new agent builds, including setup instructions, logic flows, configuration changes, and debugging steps.
- Maintain and update documentation as agents evolve, including version changes, assumptions, and key design decisions.
What You’ll Need
- Strong attention to detail you notice when behaviour doesn’t match expectations or when edge cases aren’t handled.
- Clear written communication skills for documenting processes, test cases, and experiment outcomes.
- A methodical mindset you enjoy checklists, reproducible steps, and well-structured documentation.
- Genuine interest in conversational AI, voice agents, and how they’re applied in real-world products.
- Ideally suited to a third year student or someone who has recently graduated. You would be available to work with the team in our office two to three days per week. We are happy to support your TIL requirements, with the internship typically running for around 12 weeks.
Nice to Have
- Experience with AI agent tools, telephony or voice platforms, or QA/testing workflows.
- Familiarity with tools like GitHub, Notion, or other documentation platforms.
- Experience writing test plans or test cases.
- Experience in sales or call centre environments (helpful for conversation design and customer interaction flows).
What You’ll Get
- Hands-on experience building and testing production-grade voice AI agents.
- Direct mentorship and collaboration with an AI Solutions Engineer.
- Exposure to real client projects and real customer interaction data.
- The opportunity to help shape internal standards for how AI agents are built, tested, and documented.
There is potential for a longer-term role if we’re a great fit.
