Vice President, Fleet Business Unit

An innovative AI and computer vision technology company transforming vehicle inspection and operational intelligence is seeking a Vice President, Fleet Business Unit to lead and scale its fleet-focused business operations. This organization develops advanced automated inspection and analytics solutions used across automotive, logistics, mobility, and transportation sectors.

The VP will oversee the fleet business end-to-end, including P&L ownership, business development, program management, strategic partnerships, customer success, and fleet operations, driving growth within the fleet and mobility ecosystem. This role requires a strong leader with operational expertise, a deep understanding of fleet operations, and experience scaling enterprise customers, teams, and processes.

Key Responsibilities

Strategy & Business Growth

  • Define and execute the overall strategy for the fleet business, aligned with broader company objectives.
  • Scale deployments across multiple customer segments including commercial fleets, logistics providers, leasing companies, and mobility operators.
  • Identify and drive new revenue opportunities through strategic partnerships, account expansion, and market growth initiatives.
  • Lead enterprise business development efforts, expanding existing accounts and securing new partnerships.
  • Collaborate with sales, marketing, and product teams to drive market penetration and revenue growth.

Operations & Customer Success

  • Oversee customer operations, ensuring efficient deployment, onboarding, and operational performance.
  • Build and manage scalable support and service models for enterprise customers.
  • Ensure compliance with customer requirements, safety standards, and service-level agreements.
  • Lead Customer Success and Program Management functions to deliver exceptional customer experiences.
  • Drive customer retention, renewals, upselling opportunities, and long-term value realization.
  • Implement continuous improvement initiatives informed by customer feedback and operational insights.

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner closely with Product and Engineering teams to align solutions with customer operational needs.
  • Work with Marketing to strengthen positioning within target industries.
  • Collaborate with Finance and HR to manage budgets, optimize resources, and support organizational growth.
  • Build and lead high-performing, cross-functional teams across Sales, Operations, Customer Success, Product, and Engineering.

Requirements

  • 15+ years of progressive leadership experience in operations, business development, or general management within fleet management, mobility, logistics, automotive technology, or related sectors.
  • Proven success managing P&L ownership, large-scale teams, and multi-regional operations.
  • Demonstrated experience scaling enterprise customers and operational infrastructure across multiple sites or geographies.
  • Strong background in enterprise B2B sales cycles, strategic partnerships, and complex commercial negotiations.
  • Experience driving operational transformation through scalable systems, KPIs, and performance frameworks.
  • Track record building and leading cross-functional teams in high-growth environments.
  • Expertise developing customer success strategies that drive retention, expansion, and long-term customer value.
  • Strong analytical and data-driven approach with experience leveraging technology and automation to improve outcomes.
  • Experience with fleet technologies, automotive systems, telematics, AI-driven platforms, or mobility solutions is preferred.
  • Technical fluency around machine learning, computer vision, or advanced analytics technologies is advantageous.
  • Ability to translate technical capabilities into scalable business solutions and commercial outcomes.
