Duties of a Vehicle Technician
- Carry out vehicle servicing, repairs, and diagnostics to high standards using the latest diagnostic tools
- Perform fast-fit tyre fitting, including wheel alignments and adjustments
- Fit brakes, exhausts, batteries, suspension components, and other mechanical parts
- Conduct MOT preparations, repairs, and inspections
- Use diagnostic testing equipment to identify vehicle issues effectively
- Provide clear advice to customers regarding vehicle maintenance needs and future repairs
- Maintain a safe working environment and comply with health and safety regulations
- Support the team in achieving operational targets and delivering excellent customer service
Requirements of a Vehicle Technician
- NVQ Level 2 or equivalent qualification in the Automotive Industry
- Proven experience in fast-fit services, including tyres, brakes, exhausts, suspension, and mechanical repairs
- Proficient with diagnostic equipment and testing procedures
- Ability to work efficiently within a busy team environment
- Full UK Driving Licence is essential
- Strong communication skills and a commitment to delivering excellent customer service
