Established in 1989, we are a leading commercial vehicle bodyshop specialising in accident repair, bodybuilding, and graphics for everything from vans and HGVs to trailers and specialist equipment.
We work with customers across the UK, from independent haulage operators to national fleets such as DPD, Comex2000, Furniture Village, as well as major insurance companies and repair networks.
We are currently in a period of significant change, investing heavily in systems, processes, and standards; including the recent implementation of Autoflow and our planned BS10125 accreditation later this year.
We are now looking for an experienced Vehicle Damage Assessor to play a key role in helping drive profitability, efficiency, quality and operational standards across the business.
The Role
We are looking for an experienced and highly organised VDA/Estimator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can confidently manage multiple customers, estimates, and priorities.
This is not just a desk-based estimating role. We need somebody proactive who can help improve processes, support operational teams, build strong customer relationships, and contribute towards achieving BS10125 accreditation.
You will work closely with our Bodyshop Managers, Graphics Manager, and Logistics Manager to ensure repairs are managed efficiently from estimate through to invoicing.
Key Responsibilities
- Producing accurate and profitable repair estimates for vans, tractor units, trailers, and specialist equipment using Audatex and manual estimating methods
- Liaising with insurance engineers to negotiate and secure the best possible repair values
- Communicating professionally with customers throughout the repair process
- Ordering parts and managing returns where required
- Working closely with Bodyshop Managers to prioritise work and maintain accurate estimated completion dates
- Updating and refining estimates to gain final authorisation prior to invoicing
- Ensuring repairs follow manufacturer repair methods and industry best practice
- Supporting technicians and operational teams to ensure repairs are completed efficiently and correctly
- Helping improve processes and procedures throughout the business
- Proactively developing relationships with existing customers and helping generate new work opportunities
- Supporting the business in achieving and maintaining BS10125 accreditation
Essential Requirements
- ATA or IMI accredited Vehicle Damage Assessor qualification
- Strong Audatex experience
- Previous experience working with insurance companies, repair networks, and fleet operators
- Excellent understanding of repair methods and estimating processes
- Strong communication and negotiation skills
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- High attention to detail and strong commercial awareness
- Team player with a proactive and positive attitude
- Understanding of BS10125 standards and processes
Desirable Experience
- Experience using Autoflow
- Previous experience within a commercial vehicle/HGV bodyshop environment
