Key Responsibilities

  • Structural Change Analysis – Review and assess vehicle design/modification changes; determine the scope of required tests (e.g., safety, emissions, EMC, noise) based on regulatory frameworks.
  • Test Documentation – Prepare comprehensive technical specifications, test plans, and application dossiers (including drawings, calculations, and test item lists) for submission to approval authorities.
  • Stakeholder Coordination – Liaise with type-approval authorities and accredited test laboratories to schedule tests, clarify requirements, and resolve technical queries.
  • Optimization & Strategy – Identify the most streamlined and cost-effective certification routes (e.g., extension, multi-stage, or family approvals) to obtain type-approval certificates and CoC (Certificate of Conformity) with minimal lead time.
  • Manufacturer Interface – Work closely with R&D, production, and quality teams at OEM/assembly plants to align certification needs with engineering changes and production schedules.
  • Budget & Planning – Develop detailed test schedules, resource allocation plans, and cost estimates; monitor expenditures to ensure projects stay within budget.
  • Compliance Monitoring – Track regulatory updates and ensure ongoing conformity for series production; support factory audits when required.

Qualifications & Experience

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum 3 years of hands-on experience in vehicle type-approval/certification (EU/ECE, GCC, or other major markets).
  • KD (Knocked-Down) Experience – Prior exposure to CKD/SKD certification processes is a strong advantage.
  • Languages:
  • Russian – fluent (written and spoken) for daily communication with manufacturers and local authorities.
  • English – minimum A2 level (reading technical documents and basic correspondence).
  • Skills: Strong analytical mindset, meticulous documentation habits, and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Personal Attributes: Highly responsible, proactive, and comfortable working in cross-cultural teams.
