Overview
The Senior Technician performs vehicle repair and maintenance as assigned in accordance with dealer and factory standards and builds customer loyalty by ensuring confidence in Auto Nation as a care‑giver for vehicle safety and reliability.
Responsibilities
- Perform vehicle repair and/or maintenance work as outlined on the repair order with efficiency and accuracy.
- Communicate with the Parts Department and Service Advisors to manage production and customer communication.
- Diagnose the cause of any malfunction and perform repair when authorized by the Customer.
- Conduct multi‑point inspections and make recommendations to ensure safety and reliability.
- Document work performed on each vehicle on the repair order.
- Maintain an inventory of special tools not normally inventoried by the Service department.
- Stay abreast of factory technical bulletins and participate in factory‑sponsored training classes as appropriate.
- Provide an exceptional customer experience to drive loyalty.
Qualifications
- High School diploma or equivalent.
- 2+ years of experience as an automotive technician.
- Automotive technical training (varies based on store needs).
- Attention to detail, organization, and follow‑up skills.
- Valid in‑state driver’s license with an acceptable, safe driving record.
