Working within the Fleet Management Department, you’ll be responsible for performing skilled automotive repairs and inspections on a wide variety of vehicles and machinery.
Your role will ensure all fleet vehicles, including Electric and Hybrid types, are maintained to high standards of safety and efficiency. Collaborate with fellow mechanics and mentor apprentices to enhance their technical skills.
Key Responsibilities:
• Perform detailed mechanical repairs on vehicles and equipment
• Conduct electrical diagnostics and fault finding
• Carry out inspections to meet provincial requirements
• Maintain tools and manage repair parts inventory
• Respond to emergency repair calls and assist in mobile repairs
Requirements:
• Trade certification as a Truck and Transport or Heavy-Duty Mechanic
• At least 5 years of related mechanical experience
• Clean BC Driver’s Class 3 license with air brakes
• Competency in MS Office and mechanical systems
• Attention to detail with effective communication skills
