Job Description / Responsibility
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the day-to-day operations of the company's transport fleet.
- Ensure optimum vehicle utilization while maintaining operational efficiency and cost control.
- Monitor vehicle fitness, tax token, route permits, insurance, and all statutory compliance documents to ensure uninterrupted operations.
- Coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance to maximize fleet availability and minimize downtime.
- Supervise drivers and transport personnel, ensuring discipline, compliance, and adherence to company policies.
- Investigate transport-related incidents, identify root causes, and implement effective corrective and preventive actions.
- Maintain accurate transport records, operational reports, fuel consumption records, maintenance history, and fleet performance metrics.
- Ensure strict compliance with road safety regulations, company SOP, and operational standards.
- Liaise effectively with workshops, regulatory authorities, and internal departments to facilitate smooth transport operations.
Educational Requirements
- Diploma in Automobile in Automobile Engineering
- Diploma in Mechanical in Mechanical Engineering
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) in Mechanical Engineering
Experience Requirements
- 1 to 3 year(s)
- The applicants should have experience in the following business area(s): Manufacturing (FMCG), Agro based firms (incl. Agro Processing/Seed/GM)
