MFM Mansour Filters is one of the companies under Al Mansour Automotive Group and is considered as one of the largest manufacturing facilities specializing in all types of automotive filters. The factory is located in Tenth of Ramadan City, Egypt.
About the Role
To design, develop, maintain, and optimize tooling and fixtures used in the manufacturing process, ensuring tooling reliability, dimensional accuracy, and cost-effective production support.
Responsibilities
- Design and develop tooling, jigs, fixtures, and dies for manufacturing processes.
- Oversee the fabrication, qualification, and validation of new and modified tooling.
- Manage tooling maintenance programs to ensure availability, accuracy, and longevity.
- Collaborate with product engineering and production teams on tooling requirements for new products.
- Analyze tooling failures and implement corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
- Prepare tooling specifications, technical drawings, and BOMs using CAD software.
- Evaluate and select tooling materials and processes to optimize cost and performance.
- Manage tooling inventory, tracking, and lifecycle management.
- Support PFMEA and tooling control plan development.
- Coordinate with external tooling suppliers and manufacturers for sourcing and commissioning.
- Ensure tooling compliance with quality standards and dimensional specifications.
- Mentor junior tooling engineers and technicians.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
Required Skills
- Strong tooling design and development expertise.
- Proficiency in CAD software (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, or equivalent).
- Knowledge of machining, forming, casting, and tooling manufacturing processes.
- Familiarity with GD&T, metrology, and precision measurement.
- Strong problem-solving and root cause analysis capabilities.
- Good project management and coordination skills.
Preferred Skills
- 2-4 Years of tooling engineering experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in tooling design and maintenance for production operations.
