We are looking for a hands-on Test Engineer (Diagnostics) to execute manual testing on vehicles and test benches. The focus is on validating ECU diagnostics and programming functions, including ZF Bootloader Update and related systems. You will work in a lab and vehicle environment, running test cases, identifying issues, and supporting the quality and stability of diagnostic software through real-world validation.
Responsibilities:
- Execute manual test cases on test benches and vehicles.
- Perform ECU diagnostics and programming validation.
- Set up and prepare test environments (ECUs, benches, vehicles, test equipment).
- Identify, log, and track defects found during testing.
- Create and execute test plans.
- Document test results and produce clear test reports.
- Provide regular progress updates to Test Management.
What your bring:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Automotive Engineering, Software Testing, Mechatronics, or related field.
- ISTQB Foundation Certification.
- Experience in manual testing in an automotive environment.
- Familiarity with ECUs, vehicle communication, and diagnostic systems.
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum teams.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills in English.
Preferred
- Hands-on experience with vehicle testing and bench setups.
- Experience with automotive diagnostics and ECU flashing/programming.
- Experience in commercial vehicle environments.
