Role Description
We are seeking a dedicated Technologist for a full-time, on-site role located in Denver, Johannesburg. The Technologist will be responsible for providing support to operational departments and other support departments, including assisting on projects to design, implement, stabilize and continuously improve the logistic processes and system.
Responsibilities
- Establish and implement operational KPI’s.
- Apply statistical methods and perform mathematical calculations to determine manufacturing processes, staff requirements, and production standards.
- Effectively apply change management as per defined process.
- Analyze and define improvements on current process.
- Operational support on a daily basis.
Qualification
- Advanced Diploma / NQF level 7 (BTech Industrial or Mechanical Engineering)
Knowledge & Experience required
- Up to 2 years’ experience in industrial engineering, logistics or similar disciplines.
- Experience in the automotive industry will be an advantage.
- MS Excel, MSWord and MS PowerPoint experience is a pre-requisite.
- Advanced Access, Excel, Visio, MS Project experience will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of Industrial Engineering principles and Statistical data analyses
- Knowledge of stock control procedures and regulations required.
- Knowledge of Financial planning and viability studies will be an advantage.
- Knowledge of design techniques, tools, and principles involved in production of precision technical plans, blueprints, drawings, and models.
- Knowledge of the practical application of engineering science and technology. This includes applying principles, techniques, procedures, and equipment to the design and production of various goods and services.
- Proficiency in System Technology, including warehouse management systems (WMS) and process intelligence tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills for data analysis and process improvement
- Experience in managing and optimizing warehouse and distribution processes
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills for working with cross-functional teams
- Proactive mindset and ability to handle on-site challenges effectively
