The role is responsible for the end-to-end development and validation of manufacturing processes and equipment. A key focus of this role is applying Industrial Engineering principles to optimize production efficiency, quality, and cost, ensuring the successful launch of new products from R&D to high-volume manufacturing.
**Key Responsibilities: **
New Product Introduction (NPI):
- Oversaw process design, developed manufacturing workflows, and defined requirements for tooling and equipment selection.
Participate in new customer project meetings for technical alignment; provide process feasibility analysis and technical support.
* Process Management:
- Audited key documentation (PFMEA, Control Plan, PPAP) and validated process BOMs to ensure accuracy and compliance.
- Determine raw material consumption quotas based on production methods and processes; review and ensure the accuracy of the product process Bill of Materials (BOM).
- Guide and review new product process plans, including packaging solutions; design process routes and establish process standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Spearheaded end-to-end process improvement initiatives by analyzing bottlenecks, driving automation, resolving abnormalities, and leading technical projects to boost efficiency and yield.
* Equipment Management
- Participate in formulating facility and equipment renewal plans for the workshop based on capacity planning; schedule equipment arrival timelines according to production demand.
- Organize and track equipment repair, maintenance, and retrofit activities to ensure operational readiness.
- Oversee and inspect tooling management, implementing procedures for tooling usage, maintenance, servicing, and decommissioning.
- Drive initiatives to improve overall equipment effectiveness (OEE).
* Technical Leadership: Led cross-functional teams in troubleshooting process issues and executing technical upgrade projects on schedule.
* Team Development: Managed the process engineering team, focusing on performance management, skill development, and strategic work planning.
**Qualifications & Skills:**
- Bachelor's degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, Automation, or a related field of Engineering.
- Languages: Fluent English (both at professional working proficiency)
- A minimum of 10 years of experience in technical or equipment management within the automotive or automotive parts industry. A proven track record of leading or playing a key role in manufacturing plants (from scratch) is highly preferred.
- Proficiency in at least one 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, Pro/E, UG, CATIA).
- Knowledge and practical application of core automotive quality tools (APQP, FMEA, SPC, MSA, PPAP) is highly preferred.
- Excellent teamwork, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to thrive under high-pressure conditions.
Strong analytical and logical thinking skills, with a demonstrated ability to interpret customer requirements and generate innovative solutions.
