We are looking for an automotive technician who is drawn to practising their craft in a new form. As a Technical Automotive Publications Author, you will turn your automotive expertise into technical content that educates and guides our wider dealer network. Your work will be of utmost importance in upholding Mazda’s strong reputation for quality and customer service.

This role requires a full-time, on-site presence, five days a week, to foster collaboration, strengthen team connections and ensure seamless support across the business.

Key Responsibilities

  • Create and publish technical content for the Mazda Dealer Network and our external subscribers.
  • Communicate complex technical topics clearly to a range of stakeholders, such as dealers, external agents and customers, via bulletins, videos, emails, SMS, phone and online platforms.
  • Take charge of reviewing, updating and rolling out vehicle support materials such as owner’s manuals and workshop manuals.
  • Contribute to the new model planning process to ensure technical information and support materials are ready to launch.
  • Develop and coordinate activities associated with vehicle recalls, special service programs and port reworks.
  • Manage local vendor component exchange programs and prepare local accessory fitting instructions and diagnostic and repair procedures.
  • Support compliance with the Motor Vehicle Service and Repair Information Sharing Scheme (MVIS) and other associated legislative requirements by managing external subscription requests and provision of information and systems.

About You:

You are a seasoned automotive technician with extensive vehicle knowledge and take pride in sharing this with others. With a strong technical foundation and a knack for clear, practical communication, you enjoy guiding, supporting, and empowering colleagues and dealer networks through your expertise.

To be successful, you will have:

  • In-depth knowledge of vehicles paired with extensive experience as an automotive technician.
  • A formal trade qualification as an automotive technician.
  • Proven experience in technical writing, vehicle support or automotive operations.
  • Strong communication skills, particularly the ability to break down complex technical information into easy-to-understand guidance.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate and resolve complex technical issues with precision.
  • Strong organisational skills and high attention to detail.
