Main Tasks:
- Serve as a key contributor in shaping the future of Supplier Quality for the Energy Systems division
- Define and implement Supplier Quality objectives for safety- and security-critical systems
- Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Purchasing, Program Management, and Safety/Security functions in dedicated projects
- Coordinate quality activities with external suppliers which provide parts for Li-Ion/ Na-Ion batteries, including those providing poly parts, cells/ chemistry, electronics, electronic manufacturing services (EMS) as well as with software or tool vendors, to ensure appropriate quality levels of purchased goods in cooperation with Purchasing
- Support supplier risk analysis and evaluation, and contribute to supplier selection in collaboration with Purchasing
- Conduct quality audits at suppliers and service providers
- Collaborate with Engineering in the development of material specifications and identification of critical/significant characteristics
- Ensure adherence to VDA, IATF, and customer requirements.
- Approve supplier parts using the AIAG PPAP or the VDA PPA approach in collaboration with Engineering
- Ensure supplier capabilities and deliveries meet ASPICE acquisition processes (especially ACQ.4), ISO 26262, ISO 21434, and applicable safety/security standards for electronic and software-intensive systems
- Ensure that supplier quality issues are resolved using appropriate problem-solving methodologies (e.g., 8D), report on the status of 8Ds, and ensure proper containment and corrective actions are taken
- Maintain procedures and relationships relevant for supplier management and communication
- Report on Key Process Figures related to external suppliers and service providers
- Support fulfillment of external requirements in terms of Corporate Social Responsibility, REACH, and RoHS standards related to Supply Chain management together with Purchasing
- Utilize Quality core tools (SPC, MSA, PPAP, FMEA, etc.) to maintain high-quality standards
Education and professional knowledge:
- Bachelor’s Degree of applied Science or equivalent combination of education (state-certified technician) and experience
- Solid background in quality management systems
- Min. 5 years of working experience in the automotive industry, including quality related activities in a development and/or production environment
- Trained in standards for Quality Management Systems (QMS): ISO9001 and IATF 16949
- Knowledge of relevant VDA standards (VDA 6.3 potential analysis, VDA 6.3 process audit and PPA procedures)
- Solid experience in application of QM tools and techniques (APQP, PPAP, FMEA, Control Plan, MSA, SPC, DOE)
- Expertise in supplier PFMEA review, special characteristics inspection strategy, control plan review, defining sampling requirements for PPAP, process and part release and Run@Rate
- Capability in ramp-up validation
- Experience in complaint management, 8D problem solving and sub-supplier complaint management
- Special process assessments (AIAG CQIs) are a plus
- First experience in Automotive SPICE; Automotive SPICE Assessor license beneficial
- Experience in software (assessments) and electronics required
- Previous experience in Li-ion/ Na-ion, PCB manufacturing is a plus
- Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities
- Good knowledge of PC software applications (Microsoft Office)
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Fluent English language skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Willingness to travel up to 30 % of the time
