The role

At Tough Dog, we don’t just sell suspension. We help people explore further, tackle tougher tracks, and build vehicles that take them from the daily commute to the most remote parts of the country. From the Victorian High Country to the red dirt of the Outback, our products are trusted by off-roaders around the world.

As our Social Media Manager, you’ll sit at the centre of Tough Dog’s digital presence, owning how the brand shows up across all social platforms. Reporting directly to the Head of Sales & Marketing, you’ll be responsible for bringing the brand to life through content, storytelling, and community engagement from daily posts and campaigns to major product launches, events, and collaborations across the 4WD industry.

You’ll work closely with our in-house creative team to produce high-quality, engaging content, manage the content calendar, and ensure consistency across all channels. You’ll analyse performance, refine strategy, and continuously push to grow reach, engagement, and brand impact.

This isn’t a role where you’ll just schedule posts and tick boxes. You’ll be trusted to think creatively, act commercially, and take ownership of how the brand connects with its audience every day.

You’ll also be part of the stories behind the brand from new product launches and vehicle builds to major 4WD shows and real-world customer adventures.

This is a hands-on, on-site role for someone who wants ownership, visibility, and the chance to make their mark with a brand that lives and breathes the adventure lifestyle.

Your key responsibilities

Own and execute the social media strategy across all platforms (Instagram, Facebook, TikTok, YouTube)

Plan, create, and manage a structured content calendar aligned with campaigns and key moments

Work with the creative team to produce engaging photo, video, and short-form content

Manage day-to-day posting, scheduling, and platform management

Drive community engagement by responding to comments, messages, and user content

Support major campaigns, product launches, events, and brand collaborations through social

Monitor performance metrics and optimise content based on insights and analytics

Stay ahead of trends and identify opportunities to grow audience and engagement

Collaborate with internal teams to ensure messaging is aligned across all touchpoints

What you will bring

2+ years’ experience managing social media accounts or content for a brand

Strong understanding of social platforms, trends, and content that performs

Experience creating or briefing content (photo/video) that aligns with brand identity

Familiarity with social media scheduling and analytics tools

Strong organisational skills and ability to manage multiple campaigns and deadlines

Confident analysing performance and adjusting strategy accordingly

Experience within automotive, 4WD, or lifestyle brands is highly regarded

A genuine interest in adventure, 4WD, or outdoor lifestyle is a bonus
