Role:
What You’ll Do

  • Lead & Mentor:
    Act as the ultimate technical resource for our team of master techs, apprentices, and quick-lube specialists, helping them diagnose the “un‑fixable” problems.
  • Optimize Workflow:
    Manage shop flow, dispatching jobs effectively to match tech skill levels and maximize overall shop efficiency and flag hours.
  • Quality Control:
    Conduct road tests and quality checks on complex repairs to ensure flawless execution and minimize comebacks.
  • Bridge the Gap:
    Work hand-in-hand with Service Advisors to translate complex technical jargon into clear, transparent explanations for our customers.
  • Safety & Compliance:
    Maintain a clean, safe, and state‑of‑the‑art shop environment that complies with all regulatory and dealership standards.
  • GM Training Champion:
    Keep your finger on the pulse of GM technical updates, ensuring our team is fully trained on the latest ICE, hybrid, and EV platforms.

What We’re Looking For

You are a natural leader who commands respect through expertise, not just a title. You thrive in a busy environment and take pride in watching your team succeed.

  • Experience:

    Minimum of 5+ years of automotive technician experience, ideally within a high-volume GM or Chevrolet dealership. Previous foreman or team lead experience is highly preferred.

  • Certifications:

    ASE Master Technician certification is required. GM Master or World Class Technician status is a massive plus.

  • Tech‑Savvy:
    Deep familiarity with GM diagnostic software (GDS2, Techline Connect, SPS2).
  • Leadership

    Skills:

    Proven ability to coach, motivate, and de‑escalate shop floor tension with a cool head and a sense of humor.

  • Drive: A commitment to safety, efficiency, and customer satisfaction.
