Job Summary
We are seeking a dynamic and customer-focused Service Advisor to join our automotive service team. In this vital role, you will serve as the primary point of contact for customers seeking vehicle maintenance and repairs. Your energetic approach will ensure a positive experience by accurately assessing customer needs, providing detailed estimates, and coordinating with technicians to deliver exceptional service. Your mechanical knowledge and automotive diagnostics skills will help you communicate effectively with clients and ensure their vehicles are serviced efficiently and thoroughly. Duties
- Greet customers warmly and listen attentively to understand their vehicle concerns and service needs
- Conduct thorough vehicle inspections, including auto diagnostics, to identify issues such as transmissions, brakes, suspension, or tire service requirements
- Prepare accurate estimates using estimating software and communicate repair recommendations clearly to customers
- Upsell additional services such as oil changes, alignments, shocks & struts, or diesel engine repairs to enhance customer satisfaction and dealership revenue
- Coordinate with service technicians to prioritize repairs, monitor progress, and ensure timely completion of work
- Manage service writing tasks efficiently, including documenting repairs, ordering parts, and updating customer records
- Handle cash transactions professionally while maintaining accurate financial records
- Maintain ongoing client communication to update on vehicle status and explain repair procedures in a friendly manner
Experience
- Proven experience as a Service Advisor in an automotive dealership or repair shop environment
- Strong mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in automotive repair or service technician roles
- Familiarity with estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools
- Knowledge of auto body repair, collision repair processes, and automotive diagnostics techniques
- Experience in upselling services and managing customer relationships effectively
- Valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to explain technical information clearly to clients
