About the Role
Our client is seeking a Senior Specialist – Transportation Management to lead inbound transportation strategy and logistics operations supporting electric vehicle manufacturing. This role will focus on multimodal transportation planning, TMS implementation, carrier sourcing, RFx management, and continuous improvement initiatives across domestic and international supply chains.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead Transportation Management System (SAP TM / 4PL) implementation and optimization
- Develop and execute multimodal inbound transportation strategies (FTL, LTL, Parcel, Ocean, Air)
- Manage inbound transportation RFx processes including RFI, RFP, and RFQ
- Coordinate carrier sourcing, bid analysis, and contract support
- Oversee logistics service providers and carrier performance management
- Analyze transportation performance, freight flows, and KPIs
- Drive process improvements, cost optimization, and operational efficiency
- Collaborate cross-functionally with logistics, procurement, operations, and IT teams
Required Qualifications
- 7+ years of experience in inbound logistics planning
- Automotive industry logistics experience preferred
- Strong experience with FTL/LTL carriers or brokers
- Hands-on experience with SAP TM or equivalent Transportation Management Systems
- Experience with transportation sourcing, RFx management, and contract negotiations
- Knowledge of multimodal transportation operations including FTL, LTL, xD, MSTL, and MR
- Strong analytical, project management, and stakeholder management skills
- Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Logistics, Business, or related field preferred
