As our installed base continues to expand across North America, our Field Service organization plays a crucial role in ensuring system accuracy, reliability, and long-term customer success.

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Field Service Engineer to cover our southeastern territory (GA-TN-TX), who can independently perform calibration, repair, installation support, and troubleshooting of dimensional metrology equipment. This role is ideal for someone with strong technical ability, problem‑solving skills, and a passion for helping customers keep mission-critical systems performing at their best.

Fowler provides ongoing technical training, cross‑training across product families, and structured career progression.

Key Responsibilities

Installation, Repair & Software Support

  • Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair dimensional metrology equipment
  • Perform mechanical, electrical, and basic software troubleshooting
  • Assist with installation, commissioning, and system validation
  • Complete software upgrades and configuration tasks

Service Execution

  • Perform preventive maintenance and repairs under service contracts
  • Prepare service plans including parts identification and readiness
  • Manage repair parts usage and ensure proper documentation

Customer Support

  • Provide operator guidance and basic system training
  • Identify and communicate additional service needs or opportunities

Technical Growth

  • Cross-train across multiple product families
  • Progress toward advanced troubleshooting and installation qualification

Qualifications

  • Associate degree in a technical field or equivalent hands‑on technical experience preferred
  • 3–6 years of field service, equipment repair, or related technical experience
  • Strong troubleshooting and customer service skills
  • Ability and willingness to travel extensively (75%+)
  • Valid driver’s license and ability to work independently at customer sites
