Do you like to have your weekends off? Jim Hawk Truck Trailers, Inc., has an immediate opening for an experienced Semi-trailer Technician/Mechanic at our Council Bluffs, Iowa location. No weekends are required! Mechanics can work five eight-hour shifts Monday through Friday or four ten-hour shifts, dependent upon experience level. We are looking for an experienced Semi-trailer Mechanic with one or more years of experience (three or more years preferred). This is a great opportunity to work in modern 15 bay facility.
Major job duties include:
- Servicing heavy duty trailers
- Inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing mechanical, electrical and other defects
Basic knowledge and experience in welding steel and aluminum is needed. Industrial knowledge of air brakes, axles and suspensions is preferred. Knowledge in adjusting and replacing brakes, fabrication, suspension, alignment and basic knowledge of air systems is a plus.
