Role Description The Salesperson role is a full-time, on-site position based at Honda of North Hollywood in the Los Angeles Metropolitan Area. In this role, the Salesperson engages with customers on the showroom floor and over the phone, listens to their needs, and guides them through vehicle selection, test drives, and product demonstrations. Daily responsibilities include explaining vehicle features and benefits, presenting pricing and financing options, preparing sales paperwork, and coordinating with finance and service departments to ensure a smooth customer experience. The Salesperson follows up with prospective and existing customers, maintains accurate records in dealership systems, and works toward individual and team sales goals while upholding Honda of North Hollywood’s customer service standards.

Qualifications

  • Proven ability in customer service and relationship-building, with a professional, friendly, and patient approach to working with a wide range of customers.
  • Strong sales, negotiation, and closing skills, including comfort discussing pricing, trade-ins, and financing options in a clear and ethical manner.
  • Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain vehicle features and benefits in an accessible and engaging way.
  • Basic computer and CRM skills, including experience using dealership or retail sales systems to track leads, opportunities, and customer records.
  • Organizational and time-management skills to handle multiple customers, follow-up activities, and documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Interest in and ability to learn automotive product knowledge, including Honda models, features, warranties, and service options.
  • Ability to work on-site, including evenings and weekends as needed, and to collaborate effectively with sales, finance, and service teams.
  • Previous experience in automotive sales, retail sales, or a similar customer-facing role is preferred but not required; a willingness to learn and participate in training is essential.
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; additional education or sales certifications are a plus.
