Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Salesperson role located in Port Shepstone. The Salesperson will welcome and engage walk-in customers, respond to inquiries, and guide prospective buyers through the vehicle selection and purchasing process. Daily tasks include explaining product features and pricing, arranging test drives, preparing quotations, and supporting customers with finance and insurance options in collaboration with internal teams. The role also involves following up on leads, maintaining relationships with existing customers, updating customer records, and working toward individual and team sales targets. The Salesperson will participate in showroom merchandising, promotions, and basic administrative duties to ensure a professional and organized sales environment.
Qualifications
- Strong customer service, relationship-building, and communication skills, with the ability to engage diverse customers professionally.
- Sales and negotiation skills, including experience working toward targets and closing deals in a retail or automotive environment.
- Basic business and financial literacy to explain pricing, financing options, and value propositions clearly to customers.
- Organizational and time management skills to handle multiple leads, appointments, and follow-ups efficiently.
- Comfort with using computers and digital tools for CRM systems, email, and basic office applications.
- Previous experience in vehicle or retail sales is beneficial but not strictly required.
- Matric or equivalent educational qualification preferred; additional sales or automotive training is an advantage.
- Ability to work on-site in Port Shepstone, including weekends or extended hours as required in a showroom environment.
