Position Description
The Trade-In Advisor is the operational backbone of Tesla Korea’s Used Car business. In this role, you will manage the end-to-end lifecycle of vehicle intake—from customer trade-in requests to sourcing inventory from the public market. You will collaborate closely with Sales, Delivery, and Service teams to drive profitability, ensure seamless vehicle logistics, and deliver a best-in-class experience for customers transitioning to their new Tesla.
Responsibilities
Intake & Valuation: Manage the complete trade-in workflow for both Tesla and non-Tesla vehicles. Accurately assess vehicle condition and market value to maximize profitability and inventory velocity.
Operational Logistics: Oversee the physical movement of inventory, including the relocation of sellable cars and coordination with logistics partners for vehicle exchanges.
Process Optimization: Analyze trade-in performance data to identify bottlenecks. Innovate current workflows to reduce turnaround time and increase stockturn efficiency.
Vendor & Financial Management: Manage relationships with external purchase partners (vendors) for non-Tesla dispositions and oversee payment/settlement procedures.
Compliance & Documentation: Handle complex vehicle registration and deregistration processes, ensuring full compliance with Korean government regulations and zero errors in transfer of ownership.
Customer Communication: Serve as the primary point of contact for trade-in inquiries, providing transparent quotations and guidance via email, phone, and in-person interactions.
Requirements
Driving: Valid Korean Driver’s License with a clean driving record (minimum 3 years). Ability to drive and park various vehicle types safely is mandatory.
Experience: Proven experience in automotive sales, logistics, or operations. Knowledge of the Korean used car market and registration systems is a strong plus.
Communication: Excellent verbal and written communication skills in Korean; Business-level English is preferred.
Tech Savviness: Proficiency in MS Office and the ability to quickly learn and master Tesla’s internal operating systems (WARP, CRM, etc.).
Agility: Ability to work in a fast-paced, startup-like environment where priorities can shift quickly.
