About the Role

The Sales Manager will be responsible for driving revenue growth through effective account management, strategic business development, and leadership of the sales function across both domestic and export markets. The role will focus on strengthening customer relationships, identifying new commercial opportunities, and supporting the continued growth of the business both in the UK and internationally.

The position will also involve occasional domestic and international travel, including attendance at trade shows and customer meetings.

 

Key Responsibilities

Sales & Business Development

  • Develop and implement sales strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets across UK and export markets.
  • Identify, develop, and secure new business opportunities through proactive prospecting and market engagement.
  • Work closely with the Internal Sales Manager and administration teams to develop and manage key customer accounts, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction, retention, and long-term partnership development.

·        Support customers and internal teams by assisting with enquiries, resolving issues, and maintaining high standards of customer service.

  • Support the development of new export markets and sales channels, ensuring compliance with relevant trade and export regulations.
  • Work alongside the Marketing Manager to develop both brand and specific market awareness and marketing campaigns.

 

 

Reporting & Collaboration

  • Prepare reports, information and analysis for Senior Management when required.
  • Work collaboratively with marketing, operations, and customer service teams to ensure aligned and effective customer engagement.

 

 

Travel & Events

  • Hold meetings, visit trade shows and industry events both domestically and internationally as and when the business requires you to.

 

Skills & Experience

Essential

  • Proven experience in account management and new business generation.

·        Experience working within domestic and export/international sales market

  • Demonstrated experience overseeing, managing, or leading a sales team.
  • Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
  • Commercially astute with a results-driven mindset.
  • Willingness and flexibility to travel as required.

 

Desirable

  • Experience within Jaguar and Land Rover automotive industry
  • Knowledge of export processes, distributors, or international trade environments.
