Job Summary:

The Retail Sales Specialist is responsible for driving retail sales performance across Toyota Iraq’s dealer network by ensuring disciplined execution, accurate data governance, customer insight generation, and structured dealer support.

The role acts as a bridge between Toyota Iraq and dealers, guiding, training, and supporting dealer sales teams to improve retail conversion, lead management, test drive effectiveness, and customer experience.

In addition, this role owns the development, rollout, and evaluation of Sales-related TOS criteria, ensuring consistent application of retail standards across the network. The Retail Sales Specialist contributes directly to achieving Toyota Iraq’s strategic objective of increasing the national retail sales ratio and meeting assigned retail sales targets.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Retail Sales Performance Management

  • Monitor retail sales performance against targets at dealer and network level.
  • Track and analyze retail KPIs including conversion rate, lost sales, test drives, and lead aging.
  • Support retail target setting, adjustments, and follow-up in coordination with management.
  • Follow up on sales forecasts, vehicle arrivals, PDI status, and retail deliveries to ensure target achievement.
  • Identify retail performance gaps and initiate corrective actions with dealers and internal stakeholders.

2. Dealer Support, Guidance & On-the-Job Training

  • Act as a primary support contact for dealers on retail sales execution and reporting.
  • Guide dealer sales teams on retail processes, best practices, and Toyota standards.
  • Provide on-the-job coaching and support when performance gaps are identified.
  • Support dealer capability development related to lead handling, test drive execution, and customer engagement.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve operational or system-related retail issues affecting dealers.

3. Lead, Inquiry & Test Drive Management

  • Monitor lead management performance, follow-up quality, and conversion rates.
  • Support dealers in improving lead response time and lead handling discipline.
  • Conduct customer inquiry surveys and analyze feedback trends.
  • Manage and monitor test drive reporting, effectiveness, and conversion impact.
  • Support initiatives aimed at increasing test drive-to-sale conversion.

4. Retail Data Accuracy & Customer Insights

  • Ensure accuracy of sales type classification (Retail vs. Bulk) in reporting systems.
  • Monitor and validate customer data accuracy and completeness.
  • Prepare and maintain Customer Profile Cards and Customer Data Reports.
  • Conduct Toyota Customer Profile analysis and provide actionable insights to management and dealers.
  • Perform retail lost sales analysis and report findings through internal channels.

5. Toyota Iraq Operational Standards (TOS) – Sales Criteria Ownership & Governance

  • Develop and maintain Sales-related TOS criteria for the retail sales category.
  • Lead the rollout and communication of Sales TOS requirements across the dealer network.
  • Evaluate dealer compliance with Sales TOS standards and identify improvement areas.
  • Guide dealers on corrective actions and proper implementation of Sales TOS requirements.
  • Provide structured feedback and follow-up to ensure sustained compliance and performance improvement.

6. Reporting & Management Support

  • Prepare retail performance reports, dashboards, and analysis for management review.
  • Submit required monthly reports, including TMC retail-related reporting.
  • Support continuous improvement initiatives related to retail sales processes and governance.

Gemba Support & Continuous Improvement

  • Field support, and regular enhancement in the sales operation and procedures.

  • Training & Development – Experience in designing and delivering training programs to enhance operational staff competencies in quality assurance.
  • Customer Focus – Strong understanding of customer-centric principles and their application in improving operational performance.

Experience and Qualification:

Education and Experience

  • Bachelor's degree in business administration, Engineering, or a related field.
  • 2–4 years of experience in sales operations, retail performance, CRM, or quality assurance (automotive preferred)
  • Basic analytical skills with experience in monitoring KPIs and supporting report generation.
  • Familiarity with quality management tools and methodologies is a plus.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills, with the ability to handle multiple tasks
