The Role: Rental Operations & Fleet Prep Specialist
This is a hands-on, outdoor-focused position responsible for preparing, organizing, and maintaining rental units so they’re clean, safe, and customer-ready. You’ll play a key role in ensuring every rental leaves the lot in top condition and every customer feels confident heading out—especially during Detroit Lakes’ busy summer season.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in detailed work, and likes seeing tangible results at the end of each day.
Responsibilities include (but aren’t limited to):
- Prepare rental units (RVs, campers, trailers, and equipment) for outgoing reservations
- Clean, inspect, and restock units between rentals
- Perform basic checks (tires, lights, propane levels, batteries, water systems, etc.)
- Stage units neatly on the lot for easy access and presentation
- Assist with customer walkthroughs and basic equipment explanations
- Identify issues or maintenance needs and communicate them to management or service teams
- Maintain a clean, organized lot and prep area
- Assist with moving, parking, and maneuvering units safely
- Support daily operations to keep rentals running smoothly
- Represent GoGo Rental with professionalism and attention to detail
What We’re Looking For
You don’t need to check every box – but the ideal candidate will have:
- Strong attention to detail and pride in quality work
- Comfort working outdoors in changing weather
- Ability to lift 40+ lbs and be on your feet throughout the day
- Willingness to learn RVs, trailers, and rental equipment
- Dependable, team-oriented attitude
- Basic communication skills for customer interaction during walkthroughs
Bonus (not required):
- Experience with RVs, campers, trailers, or outdoor equipment
- Mechanical aptitude or basic maintenance experience
- Lot, warehouse, automotive, or outdoor recreation background
- Experience maneuvering trailers or large vehicles
